Lord of the Flies post 4

Lord of the Flies
Chapter 4
Painted Faces and Long Hair
Ralph
*sigh* Jack is a fool

Life on the island soon creates a daily routine. Morning is bearable, by afternoon the sin becomes amazingly hot and some of the boys nap. Although they are often troubled by the bizarre images that seem to flicker over the water. Piggy says that these images as mirages caused by sunlight striking the water. Evening has cooler temperatures again but darkness falls quickly and night time is frightening and difficult. The litteuns, who spend most there time eating fruit and playing with one another, are troubled by visions and bad dreams. They keep talking about the “beastie” and fear the monster hunts in the darkness. The large amount of fruit they eat causes them to suffer from their stomach hurting. Jack obsessed with the idea of killing a pig stupidly camouflages his face with clays and charcoal enters the jungle to hunt with his entire choir. On the beach Piggy and I see a boat on the horizon. Piggy keeps saying that he can’t see the smoke as if I say there is a smoke he would believe me. I answer his questions with stares. Simon was near us now. He asked us where the ship was. Neither of us answered. I saw some smoke up near the mountain. I thought that we might be able to light more wood. I run up the mountain with Simon right behind me. Piggy tried to keep up. Half way up the mountain I relies if the fire is put out we might need piggy’s glasses to re-light the fire. Piggy was just barely visible. I knew if I stood here wondering the ship would pass either way. I continued to run up the mountain. When I reached the top of the mountain I saw the fire was dead. I relies by the time Piggy gets up here the ship would have passed. Then Jack with his choir come marching out of the jungle. They were chanting “Kill the Pig. Cut her throat. Spill her blood.” They started bragging on how they kill it. I was so mad at them I could only say “You let the fire go out.” They didn't seem to notice. I repeat. They start to wonder what I am talking about. Jack says that he only let the fire out for an hour or two. I say that there was a ship. We started to argue when Piggy comments Jacks steps towards him and hits his face. His specs go flying. Simon helps Piggy get them. One of the sides are broken. Piggy gets mad and yells that he only has one good eye now. Jack apologizes so that he looks like the bigger person. Then the choir starts to roast the pig. I don’t want any of the pig that kept us from rescue but the meat smells too good. Piggy doesn’t get any pig. He starts to complain about it when Jack says he never helped hunt for the pig. Piggy points out that I didn't and neither did Simon but we still got some. Simon feels bad for Piggy and throws him some meat. Jack gets mad and throws some meat and Simon’s feet and yells at him to eat it. All the older boys start to imitate the pig hunt. There was a circle and Maurice acted like the pig. He was on all fours and squealing. I realize at that moment that I need to call another meeting. I gather the conch and start walking down to the beach.

I like how descriptive you are in your writing. But its not as descriptive as some of your other post because it doesn't make me feel like it was that person writing it. I don't think you put in any vocab words but if you did you have to bold them.

One more thing. Your posts are very detailed and its like you write down everything your character experienced in that chapter and you write down things exactly in the right spot. Like you were reading it online when you do your posts.
